Critical Manufacturing joins one of Europe’s most successful industry associations

In April 1998 a reporter at TIME magazine named Saxony’s semiconductor industry as "Silicon Saxony", when AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.) was setting up its first microprocessor factory in Dresden. Today, "Silicon Saxony" is Europe’s leading and the world’s fifth largest cluster for microelectronics.
Established in 2000 as an initiative of 20 partners in Dresden, the Silicon Saxony network is one of Europe’s most successful association for the semiconductor, electronic, software, photovoltaic and microsystems industry.
As a natural consequence of the customer base in Germany and the creation of Critical Manufacturing Deutschland GmbH in Dresden, the company is now officially a member of the Silicon Saxony, joining almost 300 commercial enterprises, research institutes and universities, representing the entire value creation chain of the microelectronics industry, employing more than 30.000 persons and generating more than four billion Euros per year.
Through this membership, and with all the innovation and promotion policies, we expect an even greater industry awareness of Critical Manufacturing unique offering based on cmNavigo Productivity Suite.
